Foreign-invested business opens entirely; commercial opportunities emerge in Waigaoqiao trade companies abruptly
|
According to the latest information released by the Economic & Trade Office under Shanghai Waigaoqiao Regulatory Commission, all foreign-invested enterprises dealing with the commerce, distribution, logistics, and manufacturing businesses located within the Waigaoqiao Bonded Zone are allowed to apply for an increase of their wholesale and retailing business items within relevant business scopes in conformity with regulations in the No.8 Decree from the Ministry of Economy. It means that the foreign-invested trade companies that registered in the Waigaoqiao Bonded Zone, from now on, can not only treat its Customs declaration affairs by themselves, but also distribute their export goods in the country, which is definitely a breakthrough of the policy durance of over a decade, and makes them the real import & export trade companies.
Specific descriptions within the business scope are as follows:
I. Wholesale: wholesale, commission agency (excluding auction), import & export of certain goods and other relevant businesses.
II. Retailing: retailing of certain goods, self-support goods import, purchasing and export of domestic goods, and other relevant businesses.
Application procedures for increasing wholesale and retailing businesses within the business scope goes like this: upon completion of the documents, the company, which may deal with the consultation and agency businesses for foreign-invested projects with the ratification from Shanghai Foreign Economic Relation & Trade Commission (SFERTC), shall submit the documents to the Economic & Trade Office under Waigaoqiao Bonded Zone Regulatory Commission. After having received the letter of application transfer, the company shall further submit them to SFERTC for first trial. The final step is to submit the documents to the Ministry of Economy for ratification.
