| First conference between Foreign Trade Ministries in Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) |
| On the first ten days of June, 2002, we undertook the first conference between Foreign Trade Ministers in Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Minisers from China, Russia, Kazakstan, Kirghizstan, Tajikstan, and Uzbekistan gathered in Shanghai for the conference. This conference started up the conference system of Foreign Trade Ministers in the SCO in a formal manner. |

| In September, 2004, we undertook the 2004 Business Partner City (BPC) Roundtable Conference. |
| Initiated by Osaka City in Japan in 1988, BPC communication activity is a loose organization aiming at strengthening bi-lateral and multi-lateral economic trade and technology exchange, and also a new city cooperation pattern adopted by economic institutions of relevant cities to guide communications in the non-governmental form. Shanghai Foreign Economic Relation & Trade Commission joined BPC on July 5, 1995. |

| From November 19 to 20, 2003, we undertook the "Seminar on the legal issues regarding Doha Development Agenda", jointly held by Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China, Shanghai Municipal Government and Asian Development Bank in Shanghai Hongqiao State Guesthouse. |

| From December 5 to 6, 2002, we undertook the "OECD Global Investment Forum". Made up of 30 member states, OECD keeps active global cooperation with over 70 countries, non-governmental organizations, and civil groups. |
